We walked Myrtle today with Helda and Tilly, at a little dog oval not too far from their place. I think playing with Teddy has gotten Myrtle fitter, because she out-ran Tilly a few times today. Tilly was surprised.
She couldnt keep up for long though, and so we were able to try out the handy fold-up water bowl we got with a whole bunch of other dog stuff (
Doggie Pedometer, anyone?)
There was a man hitting golf balls at the park too - almost a sure way to get yourself sued I would think. I mean, dog eats a ball, hit a dog, hit a person - with the ball or the club… And considering there’s a two other perfectly deserted ovals next to the doggie oval, you’d think he’d just move.
We had a close call when Tilly almost ate one of the balls.
What if she’d choked on the damn thing? Some people just aren’t considerate. *pout*
And it was hot and I forgot my hat *double pout*
After lunch we’re going to head into town. There are a few things I want to get before I leave for Melbourne next week. Namely a hat (I’m not going there with 40degree weather and no hat.) But actually that’s all I really need before Melbourne. Other stuff I want to pick up (just to remind me
):
- Eyeshadows from Lancome
- Base/primer mascara
- Shoulder book bag type thing…for books
- New everyday handbag considering my last one broke :-(
Light day dress- got it
Shampoo & Conditioner

I went to Melbourne for a week, and I came back in time to get my uni offer to do B Medical Science at ANU
so far all good
One of the ‘highlights’ of my trip to Melbourne was just sitting, waiting for my dad to finish his golf practice and listening to 101.9’s ‘Ad-free 50′ play all these songs I like, plus one from the Veronica Mars soundtrack
twas great!! haha
Unfortunately, my usual excursion to the Australian Open this year was canceled when Lindsay Davenport was put onto the night-time session - the general rule being: I go when Lindsay plays (preferably in Rod Laver). But my grandmother didn’t have night-time tickets so we ended up going out to the Chinese restaurant we normally visit, scoffing dinner and racing back home by 7.30
It was such a shame Lindsay didn’t go onto the next round
. I hope she comes back next year. I think if she gets back into the “grand slam” swing of things she’ll be able to get back into the top 10. She will. Of course she will. (Really I’m just glad she hasn’t retired yet
)
We went down to Portsea for my dad’s cousin’s birthday, which was quite awkward because they all seemed to know who I was, and I had no idea who they were
. I didn’t think my memory was that bad, but there you go… there were 17 of us, and I knew 5 (inc. myself)
. The pub where we were was like IT in this town - it was the largest ‘pub’ I’d ever seen and was packed. Like seriously packed to the max. After dinner we went for a stroll down to the jetty (the restaurant was right on the beach, but there was a ‘bouncer’ stopping people from going down to the water so we had to go around…
) and all you could here from the jetty was the sound of the pub! What was funny is that apparently the houses on either side of it cost millions and they have to put up with that every nite!!
I went shopping in Chadstone, Richmond, the Glen and in the CBD and came back with no monies, so success! Good haul I think. Shopping in Melbourne is definitely more rewarding than any where else. I got everything I was looking for (except the damn hat
) plus some nice extras I stumbled upon. I was thinking that it would be worth saving up a whole lot of money and coming down for a shopping trip…

I fed a magpie from my chopsticks the other day. Twas an enlightening experience. And I was finally forced to teach Teddy how to go down the stairs when I realised he’d simply gotten to big for me to carry anymore ^.^ he’s growing up so fast! But I think he’s still very much afraid of heights, so it was very interesting… I think I may have praised him too much when he finally got down the stairs, because now he goes half-way up and comes back down and expects me to lavish praise on him!
Uni is moving at both a snail’s pace and some weird time-warp… there’s so much to do and then nothing, and then it just keeps on going and going… (I’ve blown of dance for three times now.) It’s not entirely what it was cracked up to be, well maybe I just had the wrong expectations. It’s not bad, it’s just different. And different can be good. I just need to get used to it. Any time now…
I got a new laptop which should keep things interesting! (gadgets always are
) It’ll make the “Gilmore Girls” marathon more of a marathon now
